Come along to our Open Meeting on Thursday 15th September, at 7pm, in Ampthill Baptist Church, Dunstable Street, MK45 2JS
Our speaker is Zoe Austin from Central Bedfordshire Council Environmental Services, and she will be explaining what happens to the waste we put in our bins, and working with us on ways to reduce waste and increase recycling.
This is a chance to ask all those difficult questions about what can, or can’t, go in our green bins, as well as finding out how much of that is actually recycled. It’s also an opportunity to discuss how our community can be encouraged to waste less and recycle more. Can recycling be made easier? Is the information accessible? Can ACCG do more to publicise other recycling pathways, and zero-waste options? What else can we do as individuals, as a community group and as a community to tackle the problems caused by waste?
Come along – find out more – contribute your views and ideas – help your community be cleaner and more climate-friendly.
Venue Notes – We’re in the main hall of Ampthill Baptist Church, which is on Dunstable Street in Ampthill, opposite Baker Street. The entrance is to the left of the main building and we’ll be doors open from 6.45pm. There’s no car parking outside the church, so do walk or cycle if you can. The nearest car park is on Katherine’s Gardens, signed from Chandos Road, or at Waitrose in the town centre.
