Please put a big star in your diaries for 2nd October 2022, for our Great Big Green Week Family Event at Parkside Hall. Between 11am and 4pm, we have a variety of children’s activities, interesting stalls, ideas and advice on money saving sustainability choices, and food and drink. Bring the kids along to meet the animals with Teaching Talons Animal Ambassadors . Enjoy fun activities, crafts, and  face painting – ALL FREE!

And for the grown ups: Re-Phil’s,  Simply Bee Eco,  and Mamma TT Organics, are some of a great set of sustainability centred retailers. We have refreshments from Wooden Hill Coffee ( with cakes!), Freshly Seasoned, vegan and vegetarian snacks more!   There’s advice on sustainable gardening, chance to find out about local nature conservation groups and your local Library of Things – Share:Flitwick and Ampthill, . Plastic Free Ampthill, and CBC Environment and Sustainability will be joining us too.  We even have a Dr. Bike pop up from Halfords, with bookable bike safety checks.  Keep watching for further info online, on our Facebook page, in Around The Pump and The Bedfordshire Oracle, and for posters around town.

We’re looking forward to meeting you and having fun celebrating all the actions we’re taking together towards a sustainable future!

This ACCG event is funded and supported  by Ampthill Town Council as part of its commitment to informing and supporting residents through the low carbon transition.
