Plastic Free Ampthill: Litter Pick Saturday 1st May 11am to 3pm
Part of the Surfers Against Sewage ‘Million Mile Clean Up’
See www.sas.org.uk for details of how to log your ‘miles’ if you wish to do so.
We will be handing out litter pickers and bags from outside the Town Council building, next to the car park off Woburn St, in Ampthill Park, on Saturday 1st May, from 11am. Come along to collect one – or more – and spend a little while caring for our park, the Firs, or the street where you live.
You can litter pick anywhere and leave collected rubbish at the tractor shed between the football and cricket pitches, or with your own household waste.
Thanks to George at Big Beds clean up for loan of pickers!
Please dress appropriately; sturdy shoes, cover arms and legs.. Observe social distancing while collecting equipment and during your litter picking. Children welcome with adults.
Do not pick up broken glass, needles or anything hazardous. In the park; report it to the park rangers by texting 07511 702357. On the street phone 0300 300 8302.
