Thanks to everyone who has volunteered for our Ampthill Hedgerow and Tree Planting sessions on 22nd and 29th January. Those sessions now have enough volunteers.
However – there is another great opportunity to make a difference locally by helping with planting in the new woodland area between Ampthill and Houghton Conquest, near Houghton House. This is organised through the Forest of Marston Vale, and details are available here: Public tree planting – Houghton Conquest/Ampthill residents only | The Forest of Marston Vale Trust
Be a part of the creation of your Community Forest, and help us to plant trees at our newest woodland near Houghton House, next to Kings Wood.
The event is suitable for all ages and free to attend. There is strictly no public parking on site, so this event is only open for residents of nearby Houghton Conquest and Ampthill who can walk up or use a bicycle to get here (public transport is very limited).
Make sure you dress for the weather and wear gardening gloves – wellies may be needed! All tools and training will be provided.
Please note: due to the location and restricted access there will not be any toilets on site.
