We are all set to establish a new mixed deciduous hedgerow at the end of Cherry Tree Way in Ampthill, and to plant 5 new trees – cherry, crab apple and wild service trees – to increase habitat and feeding opportunities for wildlife, linking in with The Ampthill Buzz Bee Friendly Zones close by.

There are volunteer places for site preparation on  Saturday 22nd January from 10am, and hedgerow and tree planting on Saturday 29th January, from 11am. If you would like to help, or want further information, please register your interest by emailing hello@ampthillclimatechange.co.uk or phone Ampthill Town Council on 01525 404355. There will be information we need to share with the volunteer group prior to each session, so we will need contact details before joining.

The planting is supported by Ampthill Town Council, being funded by Central Bedfordshire Council’s tree planting grant scheme and being carried out in partnership with The Forest of Marston Vale.
