Ampthill Buzz volunteers will be out and about in the next couple of weeks carrying out wildflower and wildlife surveys on our 10 Bee-Friendly Zones around town. We’re keeping a monthly record of what we find on the ground – a quadrat survey, wildflower species count, and noting down any insects, or other wildlife we see during our survey period. Volunteers have had survey training with Sue Raven, ecologist with the Greensand Trust, thanks to funding from The Greensand Country Landscape Partnership. We’re interested to find out what you see on the Bee-Friendly Zones. Post your photos on our Facebook page or email hello@ampthillclimatechange.co.uk. Great if you know what you’ve found, but we may be able to identify species you’re less sure about. New volunteers always welcome! Email us to get involved.
