ACCG Supports The Big Plastic Count
ACCG and Plastic Free Ampthill are hoping members, supporters and anyone following our activities will join us in signing up for The Big Plastic Count between 16th – 22nd May 2022. This is a joint initiative from Greenpeace and Everyday Plastic, to research just how much plastic waste our households generate. There’s a simple process to signup, receive a pack by post, or digitally, and then fill in a recording chart and report results online. The results will contribute to campaigning to reduce single plastic use by 50% by 2025. Greenpeace and Everyday Plastic are promoting switching to reusable options that work for everyone – and banning sending our waste to other countries.

This is a simple, practical way to make a difference to government policy. We can show we care, and we can gather evidence to demonstrate the scale of this problem.
