We’re looking forward to meeting you at The Ampthill Green Fair at Parkside Hall in Ampthill on Sunday 8th October. Doors open at 11am and we’ll be busy through until 3pm, with great retail stalls, lots of ideas and information from local green and nature groups, kids’ activities including Lauren, our star face painter, and the Share: Flitwick and Ampthill Repair Cafe, featuring Halford’s Mobile Bike Mechanic.
This is a great chance to find out about local community groups including the Ampthill Climate Change Group, Plastic Free Ampthill and Plastic Free Communities, Kings Arms Garden, Ampthill Allotment Association, the Woodland Trust, Wildlife Trusts and The Eden Project Eden Communities group. There are also new local groups to introduce – Men in Sheds, and Greensand Community Energy. Clophill Eco Lodges, CBC Waste Reduction Volunteers, Greensand Country and The Greensand Trust, CBC Libraries and Shillington WI are joining us too. It’s going to a busy and interesting event with something for everyone and a celebration of local action for nature and on climate change.
There are refreshments available from Wooden Hill Coffee and Toastie City and plenty of space to park – though it’s great if can walk or cycle to us.
Just pop along for the event , but if you have an item you would like to have looked at by the Repair Cafe team, or would like to take advantage of a free bike safety check and tune-up from Halfords ( minor repairs can also be done, and advice on more major ones) you will need to book via this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/share-flitwick-and-ampthill-repair-cafe-sunday-8th-october-2023-tickets-705880677107?aff=oddtdtcreator
