Unfortunately, Covid-19 has meant that we have not been able to progress with some of our planned events and activities which has meant that opportunities to volunteer have been limited, however, there are still loads of things you can do at home, school or work or at places you shop.
Here are some ideas:
- Ampthill Town Council have some equipment that you can borrow to do your own family litter pick. Click the link to find out more details.
- Ditch the car and walk or cycle instead. You can build up your walking legs by trying out some of our wider walks which you can start from home.
- Plant something. Winter is a great time to plant trees and shrubs as long as the ground is not waterlogged or frozen. Even better if it is a plant that provides for pollinators and other wildlife and/or fruit for you to eat.
- Familiarise yourself with the guidelines of what is recyclable in this area and try to reduce your unrecyclable waste. Recycling different types of waste | Central Bedfordshire Council
We have lots more ideas in our Ideas Bank and Ideas Bank for Businesses. Take a look and see if there is something you could try today.
