Thanks to funding from Ampthill Town Council, The Ampthill Buzz are able to plant a number of additional roadside verges this autumn. We’re hoping to get these planted up by Christmas and are looking for new volunteers to join our planting team. Contact us on hello@ampthillclimatechange.co.uk if you would like to be kept in touch about planting, site monitoring and site maintenance for our Bee-Friendly Zones.
These are our new potential wildflower verges:
• Katherine’s gardens/Chandos Road junction (Alameda side only)
• Church Avenue/Church Street junction (town side, sloping section only)
• Flitwick Rd/Station Rd junction
• Brinsmade Rd/Lea Rd junction
• Cedar Close (2 corner verges within Cedar Close at T junction)
• Ailesbury Road (from roundabout to Wingate Drive junction)
• Holland Rd/Flitwick Road junction, (both verges)
We have informed residents with properties neighbouring the verges, but if you have any concerns about the proposed planting areas please contact Ampthill Town Council directly on 01525 404355, or email council@ampthill-tc.gov.uk
